The medieval village of Pembridge is known as the "Jewel in the Crown" of the famous "Black & White Village Trail." With its half-timbered houses, "olde worlde" pubs, a 14th century market hall and a church with a unique detached bell tower, this wonderful village is a delight to visit. The surrounding countryside offers excellent walking, cycling and fishing. 10 mins drive.

 

The Stagg Inn at Titley was the first pub in England to get a Michelin star. 10 mins drive.

 

The market town of Leominster is great for antique shops. 15 mins drive.

 

Hereford has the famous Mappa Mundi in the cathedral as well as a chained library. Good shopping. 25 mins drive.

 

Hay-on-Wye is famous as the second hand book centre of Europe. As well as wonderful bookstores, Hay has great cafes, antique shops, walks and a castle. 30 mins drive.

 

Ludlow has top class restaurants, a stunning castle and a host of historical streets and buildings. A great day out. 35 mins drive.
